Tomatoes

So far we have these two decent sized looking ones, a medium sized one and a tiny little one.

No peppers yet.

I love homegrown tomatoes - nothing like them! Soon, you shall open your own stall at the Farmer's Market with your 2 tomatoes.

I'm very impressed. We don't have anything growing in our garden yet except dandelions...

Today's word is ppimkh which is probably how Calum would say pink!

PS My gay husband is just off the plane back from Leeds (again) and is playing on the playstation with the boys instead of watching Property Ladder with the grown-ups.

Yeah, I can rarely make it to the farmer's market before it closes at 12, don't think I could manage to drag myself out of bed in time to start selling stuff at 8.

I'm fairly impressed myself. I am quite astonished at how easily they've grown. Despite the huge amount of weeds still in the bed around them.

I think your gay husband is probably just bonding with the kids. At least, that's going to be my excuse for playing games when I have kids of my own.

Are'nt you lucky,I just planted mine in the greenhouse yesterday, true to form the temperature dropped last night to 15c so they'll probably die before they get a chance to live

Will the greenhouse not keep them warm enough?

All right, enough with the hints, I'll put electricity in the greenhouse the next time I visit!

Nice toms by the way... are they supposed to be green? They're red when I pick mine.

Yeah, I'm a little worried about the colour myself. Maybe green is the usual colour for tomatoes and devious mothers paint them red because they know children automatically reject green food.

As always brother you insightfulness and downright cynicism astounds me!

Hey, mothers will try to hide spinach inside chicken breasts, they have even been known to puree fruit and vegetables and pass it off as some kind of cool drink...kids have to be careful

ok couple of things

1. be careful the tomatoes will stay green, stay green, stay green.... oh sh*t they're red and a bit sqaushy. keep a close eye on the shifty buggers. but then seeing as you are taking pictures of them i guess you are.

2. I'm back in the land of the living so hello! even updated my own blog and everything!

3. my word verfication today was "hu(with an umlaut)eeag"!?!?!?!????? what english computer has the capability for an umlaut?

Hmm, the sneaky blighters will probably turn red when I'm away then, so we'll come back to a mush plant.
