A bit hot!

So last week I made a contribution towards the world's fossil fuel supply. The unit I have spent the last 4 years of my life on finally did a job and kicked off a well. The proof was this flare. I just wish they hadn't put it quite so close to the barge.
Note the white accommodation "pod" on the top deck of the barge. That's where I sleep. All the stairs keep me fit and the views are great, as you can see in the other picture.

Now, I'm no expert but that doesn't look safe to me. Good for doing your marshmallows though I guess.

I like this Blogger thing, it even lets me post comments through our incredibly restrictive (as you'd expect) work network. Wish you could (easily) put hyperlinks in comments though. You geeks will tell me there's an easy HTML workaround I imagine.

Crikey, I know you said the flare was close, but I didn't think it would be that close.

Well, it's not an easy HTML workaround, but the comment section does support the anchor tag.

Read all about it!

It was alright though because they turned on the sprinklers around the top deck in an attempt to stop us from catching fire!

Which clearly worked. As you didn't. Brilliant!

Any chance you can take a picture of the interior of the bio-dome? Errrr. . . .I mean, pod? I'm very interested in this thing they have you sleeping on in the middle of the ocean.

The anchor tag is the whole "a href" thing that was explained in the link I linked to basically you do (a href="url")Text to be displayed(/a) except you use <> instead of () and you get your link
